Halo The Movie

Halo The Movie - Animation Talk News: "Halo, one of the latest video game phenomenons in recent years, will now become a theatrical film. Halo 2, which was released November of last year, sold a record 6.8 million copies worldwide. Microsoft, manufacturer of the Xbox and owns rights to the Halo franchise, has set its sight on Hollywood to take this game from the silver screen to the big screen. Microsoft executives and representatives went to several major studios in early June. Most studios were not so thrilled about the idea for several reasons.

First of all, Microsoft, which is nautorious for strict deals, wanted $10 million up front and 15% gross of profits. With these dealing terms many studios rejected the project for the sheer fact of the asking price. On top of financial burderns a movie studio would have, Microsoft also wanted full creative control of the film. Those two together turned off many studios. Another reason many studios were afraid of taking on the film is the history of game to movie films. The only film based on a game to make over $100 million was Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

WE want Arnold!!!!!! That's the way to get the movie made!!!!
